Effect of Fracture on other parts of the body
Strain in muscles:
For recovery of bone fracture, movement of that body part is strictly prohibited. Due to non-movement, muscles start getting stiff. Therefore, you may feel some pain in the muscles around that intact part of your body. Fracture near Joints causes more stiffness in muscles.
Blockage in Movements:
You may not be able to move your body part after fracture recovery. This is normal and seen in most of the cases of post-fracture.
Nerve compression:
Compression in the nerve and joints of backbone may sometimes happen due to abnormal movement of adjoining joints or muscles.
Injuries:
Muscle injury also sometimes takes place along with fractures. In such cases, you should follow your doctor’s advice. Recovery time for injured muscle is uncertain. It may take a few days or it may take many days.
Post Fracture Treatment
Physiotherapy is one of the best treatments for after the treatment of the fracture is over. The physiotherapist first observes the pain and according to the situation, therapy of post-fracture is started in steps. Generally, one session of physiotherapy ends in 45-60 minutes. The number of sessions required for back pain differs for different persons but in general, it takes 15-30 sessions , one session per day for better results.
